The 11th Ethio-Russia Military Technical Cooperation is under discussion
The 11th Ethio-Russian Military Technical Cooperation Dialogue is being held in Addis Ababa with the aim of strengthening military cooperation between the two countries. The discussion began with the approval of the 10th Military Technical Program Agenda.
The consultation, which is being held by the Club of Officers, focuses on developing the skills and knowledge of Ethiopian and Russian military technology.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, State Minister for Defense Finance Martha Luigi said the two countries have had historical and strong diplomatic, military, economic, political and social ties since 1898.
He said relations between the two countries have been strengthening since Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen met with President Vladimir Putin.
He thanked Russia for its support during the 6th general election, the Grand Renaissance Dam and other national issues. He expressed hope that the outcome of the meeting would be implemented in a manner that would ensure the mutual benefit of the two countries. Punchuk Anatoly, Deputy Director of Military Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, has an old friendship; Many members of the Ethiopian Defense Forces have received training in Russia; He said the meeting will enhance the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
He said the defense industry and Dejen Aviation will jointly enhance the technological capacity of the project.
On the Ethiopian side, the Defense Finance Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Air Force and the Defense Industry Sector participated in the meeting.
