Erdoğan calls on international community to take united action over Israeli aggression against Palestinians

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Speaking to reporters following Friday prayers, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called on all countries and institutions to take united action over the Israeli aggression against Palestinians.

“It is imperative that UN Security Council takes steps to ensure peace in Jerusalem, in line with General Assembly‘s decisions,” Erdoğan said in a statement.

“Those who remain silent or openly back Israel’s bloodshed should know one day it will be their turn,” the Turkish leader pointed out.

Erdoğan also added: “To stand against Israel’s aggression in Palestinian cities, Jerusalem is duty of honor for humanity.”

“Turkey will continue COVID-19 measures in a controlled manner until the end of May, and will ease restrictions in June,” Erdoğan told the media outlets as speaking of the fight to prevent the novel coronavirus pandemic.
