Peaceful demonstrations are to be held across the country under the slogan “Our Voice for Our Freedom”
A rally involving youths from all over the country will be held tomorrow under the motto “Our Voice for Our Freedom”. The protest is said to be in protest of foreign interference in Ethiopia’s internal affairs.
The US government’s recent travel ban and its impact on Ethiopia stem from its desire to keep the country out of poverty, and young people in particular need to do their part for the country’s development.
It was also stated that this is a time to strengthen the unity of the people and not to tarnish their national unity.
Working to break free from Western pressure should also focus on larger national projects, EBC reported.
The program will be held across the country on Sunday, May 22, and a large number of youths are expected to participate.
