The United States has imposed visa bans in connection with the unrest in Cameroon

The United States has imposed visa bans on individuals in connection with the unrest in Cameroon.

The country has imposed sanctions on people suspected of inciting violence in northwestern Cameroon.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blincon has expressed concern over the ongoing violence in Cameroon’s Anglo-Saxon province.

“We condemn those who incite violence, incite human rights abuses, and threaten peace,” he said.
The Cameroonian government and separatist groups have also called for an unconditional cessation of hostilities.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the United States.

More than 3,500 people have been killed and more than 700,000 killed in clashes in Cameroon’s northwestern and southwestern parts of the country since January 2017.
