International SOS Children’s Villages Day has been celebrated on 23 of June worldwide to commemorate the creation of the first SOS Children’s Village in the world along with the birthday of Herman Gmeiner who is the founder of the Organization yearly.
Similarly, SOS Children’s Village Programme Jimma has been celebrating the day in different areas since June 1st by various activities.
On June 13/2021 the Programme celebrated the Day at Bedelle town by cleaning campaign and tree plantation.
Bedelle Family and Community Development Project beneficiaries, Co-workers, Bedelle town Mayor and Manicipality offices staffs participated.
On the event, SOS Children’s Village Programme Jimma Director Mr.Ebisa Jaleta appreciated participants for they actively took part and encouraged them to continue working a such blessed activities.
