Ethiopian Air Force graduated new air forces under the motto of “Tigers of 2014”.

The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,Her Excellency Sahlework Zewde, who was the guest of honor at the inauguration of the pilots under the motto “Tigers 2014”, said he was honored to be with the country’s proud heroic defense force.
“Our air force, which is part of our army, is the birthplace of many heroes,” she said. She reaffirmed that the government and the people will continue to support the protection of our country’s skies by arming the modern technology and striving to create competent and talented professionals.
The Chief of Staff of the FDRE Armed Forces, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, said that the Air Force, which has been buried for many years without any change, is undergoing significant changes. He said the Air Force is working hard to make our country a strong institution in Africa.
Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdassa, Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) Air Force, on his part said the Air Force has played an important role in preventing the disintegration of our country along with other security forces. He said the FDRE Air Force is continuing to produce professionals and is focusing on equipping them with new weapons and upgrading them.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Her Excellency Sahlework Zewde, Speaker of the House of Federation Agenehu Teshager, Chief of Defense Staff Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, regional administrations, military attachés of various countries, senior military leaders, government officials, invited guests and Bischoftu town residents.
