Is Lil Tjay paralyzed?

Rumors have circulating that Lil Tjay has been left paralyzed after being shot in the early hours of Wednesday, June 22.

It comes after the rapper was shot numerous times at a shopping centre in New Jersey.

Several fans were worried sick on learning from fake reports that the rapper was “brain dead”.

As of June 27, 2022, there are no valid sources confirming that the music star is paralyzed.

What are the rumors?

The rumors seem to have stemmed from a tweet that also made other claims that are not backed up by any official report.

None of Lil Tjay’s close family or friends have spoken or confirmed anything about him being paralyzed.

It’s safe to say that until these rumors are actually backed up, they should not be taken as truth.

Rumors online had also speculated that the star was dead. These were later proven to be untrue.

TMZ reported on June 23, 2022, that Lil Tjay had undergone emergency surgery and “appears to be doing better”.

What happened to Lil Tjay?

Lil Tjay was hospitalized after he was shot at a shopping center just after midnight on June 22, 2022.

The rap star, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, underwent emergency surgery after the attack and is reportedly in a stable condition.

Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office tweeted on Thursday, June 23, 2022: “Update on 6/22 shooting: alleged shooter arrested & charged with attempted murder, armed robbery & weapons charges.

“2 others charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

“1 victim released from hospital; other in critical but stable condition.”

Mohamed Konate was charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapons offenses in connection to the shooting.

Along with Konate, the two men with Tjay at the time of the shooting, Jeffrey Valdez and Antoine Boyd, have been arrested and charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
