Disaster Risk Management Commission Commissioner Mitiku Kasa has been arrested
Disaster Risk Management Commission Commissioner Mitiku Kasa has been arrested by the Federal Police on suspicion of corruption.
The head of the Corruption Crimes Investigation Directorate of the Federal Police General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, Assistant Commissioner Taddala Ayyala, said the commissioner was arrested on suspicion of committing corruption crimes in collaboration with the owner of Elshaday Charitable Society.
He said investigations have confirmed that Elshaday has repeatedly sold aid and clothes to buy houses for suspects in Awash, Adaama, Hawassa, Injibara and other areas. Police said they have been conducting extensive surveillance on the suspect, FBC reported.
