Ethiopia, South Sudan Discuss Cooperation to Fight Crimes

Ethiopia and South Sudan on Tuesday held a high-level discussion to enhance cooperation on bilateral issues.

An Ethiopian delegation led by Redwan Hussein, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office, is on a working visit to Juba.

On Tuesday, the delegation conferred with the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Following the meeting, Redwan indicated that the discussion was focused on several bilateral issues, describing it as “fruitful”.

“Our delegation met with Salva Kiir, President of South Sudan, and had a fruitful discussion on bilateral issues,” Redwan said in a brief message posted on Twitter.

“Fighting crimes, enhancing cooperation and exchange of intelligence were the main points of the discussion,” the security advisor to the PM added.
