Ethiopia has planted over 25 billion seedlings in a four-year period hitting above the set goal for the Green Legacy Initiative.


The Initiative was launched in 2019 to address various environmental challenges by promoting a green culture.
The plan was introduced by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to plant 20 billion trees across the country over four years.


Yet Ethiopia has already planted 25 Billion seedlings just in the four years period surpassing the set goal for the Green Legacy Initiative, according to the latest statement by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
