ISIS-sympathizer arrested in Tangier for attempted manslaughter – The North Africa Post

Police in Tangier arrested an ISIS-affiliated person Sunday for his involvement in a voluntary manslaughter as part of a terrorist plan to seriously undermine public order.
A statement by National Police (DGSN) revealed that the suspect, 36, attempted to murder a victim under the pretext that the victim didn’t respect the precepts Islam.
Both men lived on a construction site.
According to the DGSN statement, the victim was attacked with a nail drill and sustained injuries to her neck.
Policemen arrived at the crime scene and were immediately alerted.
The suspect attempted to flee the crime scene by jumping from the second story of the building. However, he was stopped by police, who neutralized his threat.
Searches in the suspect’s room led to the seizure of weapons and publications of extremist nature, in addition to the drill he used during his assault, the so-called “flag” of the terrorist ISIS organization and a homemade rifle with black powder, among other weapons. According to the DGSN statement, police also seized four electronic download media, three digital memories cards, two batteries, and a cell telephone.
