The 2nd Deputy Speaker of Somalia opens a meeting in Mogadishu – Somali National News Agency
The 2nd Deputy Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, HE Abdullahi Omar Abshir (Abshirow) opened a meeting at Jazeera Hotel to discuss cooperation between the Committees of the Parliament and civil society.
During the meeting there was a lengthy discussion on the importance of cooperation among the sub-committees.
Civil Society Organisations were invited to participate in the Parliament meetings’ debates, so they could offer ideas to the Committee leaders.
Finally, the meeting was called to an end by Mr. Abbas Ali Ibrahim (second Deputy Secretary of the parliament), who stated that it was important for such meetings of the various committees of the House of the People.
