The Oromia Education Bureau announced that the 8th grade national exam can be viewed on the internet from today. The Oromia Education Bureau said in a statement about the release of the 8th grade exam results that 451,21 students in the region have registered for the exam and 98.3 percent of them have passed the exam. The pass rate for 9th grade is said to be 50 percent for boys and 47 percent for girls.
It was also stated that the pass percentage of 9th grade in pastoral areas is 47% for boys and 44% for girls, and 44% for boys and 41% for girls with special needs. The pass was decided based on the actual situation of the country and the quality of education, said Girma Baysa, the deputy head of the Oromia Education Bureau.
He also said that female students have made a difference by getting better exam results.
