End of Al-Shabab era as army liberates more villages

With the support from locals, the Somali National Army (SONNA), liberated strategic Booco Village from Al-Shabaab extremist group.
Hiiraan governor Ali Jeyte Osman who is leading this successful operation says that several terrorist were killed during clashes.
“Fortunately, no harm sustained one of the our brave soldiers. We are grateful how public so far are sharing information,” he told SONNA. “It’s the end of Al-Shabab ere in our province,” he added.
Booco is under terrorist control since more than 13 years. Residents cheered at the arrival.
The Somali National Army seized Sina-dhaqo village 35 KM south-east of Dhusamareb from Al-Shabaab radicals group, killing many terrorists.
SNA command said that troops are looking for other fugitive fighters outside of this area.
Military officials claimed that more than 200 militants were killed in the recent operations against al-Shabab, which were carried out by troops and residents. They also captured over 30 villages.
