Ethiopia ranks 18th in wheat production in the world

According to the 2022/23 world wheat production results list released by the United States Department of Agriculture in September, Ethiopia is ranked 18th in the world by producing 5,700,000 metric tons.

In connection with this, China produced 138,000,00 metric tons of wheat and held the first position in the world. Russia ranked fourth with 91,000,000, the United States ranked fifth with 48,523,000, Australia ranked seventh with 33,000,000, Ukraine ranked ninth with 20,000,000, and Egypt ranked 15th with 9,800,000 metric tons.

Last September, although the 2022/2023 world wheat production was estimated to be 78.392 million metric tons; It showed an increase in production of 4.32 tonnes more than the estimate.

The next world wheat production results will be announced on October 12, 2022 / October 2, 2015.
