Council Approves National Rehabilitation Commission Bill, two others

The Council of Ministers has approved a draft regulation to establish a National Rehabilitation Commission and two other draft laws during its regular session today.

The Prime Minister Office says the Commission will tasked to permanently reintegrating members of armed forces to the society after disarming as part of the ongoing government push to resove conflicts in various parts of the country peacefully.

The council of ministers decided to enact the regulation establishing the Commission as of today, November 12, 2020 after its approval.

In the same session, the Council also passed a revised national defense force proclamation bill and referred it to the parliament for ratification.

The revised bill is prepared in a way that supports the reform that Ethiopian national defense force is taking to serve the country and its citizens independent from any political influence, the PM Office says.

The council also approved a draft regulation establishing Ethiopian Enterprises Development agency and decided the regulation to become effective as of its publication date in the Negarit Gazette.
