Although the discussions were largely conducted in a positive manner, no agreement was reached on some issues during this round.

It was agreed that the talks between the two parties would continue so that the conflict could be stopped in a peaceful and sustainable manner. The government has an unwavering stance to resolve the conflict peacefully in accordance with the constitution and principles it has been governed by so far. The government further reaffirms its strong commitment to take advantage of the opportunities and good initiatives to resolve the problems through peaceful means to bring about a lasting solution.
