A delegation from Oromia Tourism Commission visits Kenya

A Delegation comprising of 25 officials and tourism officers, led by H.E. Lelise Dhuga, Commissioner of Oromia Regional State Tourism Commission, arrived in Kenya on Thursday August 3, 2023 for Experience Sharing visit.

The delegation met with Mr. Bucha Patrick, Tourism Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and cultural heritage of the Republic of Kenya and other higher level officials from different kenyan Tourism organisations, on Friday August 4, 2023.

During the discussion, H.E. Lelise Expressed the importance of creating integrated region to further enhance the potentials of the two sisterly countries in Tourism sectors. She also underscored the necessity of reinstating MOU that was signed previously between the two parties.

Ambassador Workalemahu Desta, Deputy Head of the Mission, elaborated the existing strong bilateral relationship between the two sisterly countries and stated the importance of establishing joint tourism package mechanism.

On his part, H.E. Dr. Bucha Patrick, Tourism Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Kenya underlined the benefit of having coordinatation and partnership for the development of the two countries in tourism sector.

A Delegation from Oromia Regional State Tourism Commission has been continuing its Working visit to the Republic of Kenya from August 3rd to 8th 2023.
