Somalia has banned TikTok, Telegram, and online-betting website 1XBet to limit the spread of indecent content and propaganda, the country’s communications minister said.
Members of the al-Shabaab militant group often post about their activities on TikTok and Telegram. TikTok has also been threatened with a ban in Kenya for giving a platform to the youth to display indecency.
