Melka Baro Irreechaa festival celebration is undergoing
The 2017 Melka Baro Irreechaa festival is being celebrated in Gambella town for the fourth time with various traditional activities.
The celebration started yesterday with a panel discussion and today “Melka Baro” Irreechaa is being celebrated in the presence of many residents of Gambella and invited guests.
The participants of the festival are celebrating the festival by dressing up in beautiful and attractive traditional clothes and values, singing traditional dances and different tunes.
Abbaa gadaas, Haadha Siinqee and other members of the society were present at the celebration.
Irreechaa is a festival where the Oromo people give thanks to the God who created everything for the peaceful end of the winter and pray to the Creator for a good future.
