Ethiopian Airlines is set to receive Africa’s first A350-1000 passenger aircraft on November 5, 2024.

The airline will operate the A350-1000 under the tagline “Ethiopia Land of Origins,” highlighting its unique status as the first of its kind on the continent.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tassew emphasized the airline’s commitment to maintaining its leadership in the African aviation sector by continually introducing new aircraft and expanding its global network.

Since starting operations with A350-900 aircraft seven years ago, Ethiopian Airlines currently has 20 A350-900s in service.

The A350-1000 will feature a seating capacity of 400 and is equipped with advanced technologies designed to enhance passenger service, according to the CEO.

Looking ahead, Ethiopian Airlines aims to achieve an annual revenue of 25 billion USD by transporting 67 million passengers by the year 2035.

Currently, the airline operates 147 aircraft, serving 139 international destinations and 22 domestic routes.
