Renaissance Dam construction workers and officials are fire-tested development veterans – Dr. Aregawi Berhe
“Workers and officials of the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam are fire-tested development veterans,” said Dr. Aregawi Berhe, director general of the dam’s public participation coordinating office.
He made the remarks during a meeting with ENA on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the foundation stone of the dam.
Dr. Aregawi, who has been working hard to complete the dam since Ethiopia’s transformation, said the government has worked hard to overcome the complexities of the construction of the dam and bring it to a proud level.
“The workers and officials involved in the construction of the dam are practically fire-tested development veterans,” said Dr. Aregawi, adding that workers and officials are working tirelessly to withstand the high temperatures.
He said work is underway to complete the dam in the next two to three years.
