Russia supports Ethiopia’s peaceful use of nuclear technology: Ambassador Vigny Turken

Russia will support Ethiopia’s efforts to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, said Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Vgini Turkin.

Ethiopia and Russia have discussed ways to implement previous agreements and establish new frameworks.

State Minister for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Ahmedin Mohammed, and Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Vegini Turkin, discussed ways in which the two countries can work together in the field of science, technology and innovation.

He reaffirmed Russia’s support for human resource development in Ethiopia’s efforts to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
State Minister for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Ahmedin Mohammed, said the two countries should work together to create a framework for cooperation.

According to information received from the Ministry, new agreements have been requested to comply with Ethiopia’s 10-year master plan.
