It will also provide emergency assistance in the Somali region due to climate change.

Dr. Stephen Were Omamo, Director of the World Food Program in Ethiopia, said Germany’s support will enable it to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to Ethiopia.

The World Food Program (WFP) has announced that it will need $ 203 million to support Tigray State by the end of the European Year.
It also needs $ 97 million for humanitarian work in the Somali region over the next six months.
