According to Ministry of Justice, the charges against the TPLF civil and military leaders who were accused of crimes were dropped.

The Ministry of Justice has announced that the charges against the TPLF civil and military leaders who were accused of crimes have been dropped. According to the peace agreement signed between the federal government and the People’s Democratic Republic of Tigray (TPF), an agreement has been reached that crimes related to the conflict should be considered in the framework of transitional justice, taking into account the international experience.

Therefore, according to the information of the Ministry of Justice, it is necessary to drop the charges against the civil and military leaders of the People’s Democratic Republic of Tigray, who were accused of crimes, and have their cases dealt with in the framework of transitional justice. Therefore, the ministry has announced that the criminal charges that were filed in connection with this in the manner described and were in the process of dispute were raised according to Article 6 (3) (e) of Proclamation 943/2008.
