Addis Ababa, August 15, 2026 — Ethiopian Airlines executive Aman Wole has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Zambia Airways, bringing more than 19 years of experience in the international aviation industry to the leadership of the Zambian carrier.
Aman officially assumed the position on August 1, 2026, following a career in senior leadership roles at Ethiopian Airlines that took him across Africa, Europe and Asia. Zambia Airways Board Chairperson Jomo Matululu welcomed the appointment, expressing confidence that Aman’s extensive international aviation experience and leadership skills would support the airline’s ambition to become a competitive, safe and customer-focused carrier connecting Zambia with regional and global markets.
Aman said he was honored to take charge of the airline at an important stage in its development. His appointment further strengthens the growing aviation relationship between Ethiopia and Zambia and underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ role in developing aviation capacity and partnerships across Africa.
