Named after Pan-Africanism term Harrambee, Harambee University Advancing the Ethiopian Online Learning Academy.
Harambee University was founded in 2002 G.C. in Ethiopia, Oromia Regional State in Adama City Geda Kebele with the aim of enhancing the development of education sector.
The Word “Harambee” is an African Motto which has taken from Swahili Language, which means “forget the past, and Let us work together”. The University was primarily founded as center for learning foreign languages especially English language in Adama.
Currently the University has 557 full time staffs in different Academic Rank and Qualification. The University has launched Seven Campuses out of Adama Main Campus, i.e Fitche Selale Campus, Bale Robe Campus, Addis Ababa-Mexico Campus, Holeta Campus, Awash Lucy Campus, Abomsa Campus and Muketuri Campus.
The University has Three Accredited Master’s Program in the Department of Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Maters of Science in Accounting and Finance, Masters in Project Management. The University has 11 Accredited Undergraduate Programs in the Departments of Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Economics, Management, Management Information System, Computer Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health (HO) and Midwifery. In addition to this the University has Accredited to delivering 10(Ten) TVET Programs by Oromia Regional State TVET Bureau.
The University is crrently offering MBA by online program after getting acceradation from HERQA regarding the online learning program.
